HOW WE DO IT
FREE WORLD
Entrepreneurship School (eSchool)

Our “free world” Entrepreneurship School (eSchool) is an education program designed to promote continued learning outside the prison gates. eSchool is a weekly gathering of our participants along with top-tier executives, MBA candidates and university professors who have one objective—mentor and teach PEP men. Participants are challenged to take the education they received behind prison walls to the next level.

Hosted at The Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University and The University of Dallas Graduate School of Management, participants are required to complete a minimum of 20 workshops to graduate the second phase of PEP. Those who commit to and complete the program receive lifetime perks, privileges and access.

Executive Mentoring

Our world-class executive volunteers love to get in the trenches with us. Providing food for our participants’ minds and hearts, our executive mentors know the importance of accountability in business and life. They share their experiences, and lunch, with some of the hungriest entrepreneurs in the country.

Many PEP participants have implemented their business plans and achieved their goals of becoming legit entrepreneurs with the help of a mentor. Just as impressive, so many more have also become role models, key employees, fathers and contributors to society under the tutelage of a PEP mentor.

Financing

It’s all about who you know. PEP graduates have access to our network of executives and professionals for assistance with nearly every aspect of their start-up businesses. Participants receive pro bono consultations for everything from negotiation, marketing, web development, portfolio management and taxation. Many times a PEP graduate’s business will earn customers and contracts through our ever-increasing network of dedicated executive volunteers.

In addition to opening the door to a network of socially-driven, accredited angel investors (with unlimited funding opportunities), PEP provides modest financing for business start-up expenses; offering a $500 reimbursement after eSchool graduation.
